If you're going to write this stuff, you need to be accurate: the Sox last won the Series in 1918, NOT 1914.

Congratulations for being the first on this thread to catch it. I always felt bad for Bill Buckner taking the rap for the game tying, not the game losing error in the 6th and not thepivitol 7th game. What is seldom noted is that the Red Sox had a gaping hole at First Base before Bill Buckner took on the position. He not only played it splendidly during the regular season but had over 100 RBIs from the number two spot.

That in itself was noteworthy, but does anyone remember that Billy Bucks struck out only 25 times that year and was one of the best clutch hitters in the game?

I have kept all my World Series tickets but have also bought tickets to the away games which I didn't attend. They are easily available on eBay and elsewhere.
