Jim Jones had his followers drink Kool-aid which was laced with poison. They had moved to Africa and were afraid their compound was going to be invaded or some such thing.

The only thing I disagreed with was when Rush referred to proponents of medical marijuana use as 'leftists' who 'just want to toke up.'
Shouldn't people suffering be 'allowed' to determine for themselves what substances they can and cannot intake?
Who cares about Ralph Nader and what does that have to do with my post?
You have to hear the whole segment. He quoted Presidential candidates in the not distant past who refused to let themselves be characterized as 'conservative'. They claimed to be liberals on both sides.
Kerry is trying to hide his liberal nature. He is goose hunting (Pro Gun Candidate), he is a hawk (he will capture OBL in the first week of his term), he is for tax cuts (for selected Americans only), he has God on his side (he just won't let God influence his actions), and he reacted violently to the L-Word in the debates.
Rush quoted surveys where the percentage of Americans who identify themselves as 'liberal' has dropped precipitously, while the percentage who classify themselves as 'conservative' is way up.
Even Clinton had to be a conservative to survive. He had to adopt the Republican welfare-reform. The conservative viewpoint grew both in flyover country and in the Congress during Slick's regime.
>>I don't know. I think he's right about this. If we're actually stupid enough to elect Lurch I think that the electorate will rather quickly realize what a colosal mistake we've made. If Kerry gets in expect 2006 to mirror 1994, and that would really doom the Rats to minority party status for another 25 years.
Don't get me wrong, I really think that this thing is going to go our way. I don't believe that he'll get in. But if he does, the American people won't put up with extreme left wing liberalism for long.<<
That sums up exactly how I see this thing!
