Awesome!
I forgot it was Friday!
(Blonde moment...)
Hi billie. I'll be clucking and crowing around 4:30...until then it's back to work! Thanks for bringing us the TGIF thread every week! Have a great day sistah!
Ah...beautiful pledge. New?
Thank you for the ping! I hope you have a wonderful Friday. :)
Mornin' Billie.
TGIF. Couldn't come soon enough.
Popcorn and must see TV tonight. We're in one of the Sinclair markets so we'll be watching the POW presentation tonight.
Tuesday's wind and rain storm, along with losing electricty for 5 hours, left the yard a mess so I think I know what's in store for my weekend activities.
Have a GRATE weekend, y'all.
Happy Friday! This time next week I will be in Atlanta chit-chatting with old friends and wondering what y'all are up to!
Just have to save my pennies for a laptop so that I can at least browse when I'm not at home!
Scans additions to thread since Thursday participation, and reads Dubya's reply # 62 about the fellow who crossed the International Dateline and missed a day -- seizes that as her excuse...musta slept through it..:))
This afternoon I viewed on C-Span The President's appearance in Melbourne, Florida, where I lived from ages 9 through 18 - 23 through 27 - and 35 through 38.
From a very small town during WWII with one school for ALL school children west to the St. John's River, and between the Sebastian River on the south end of Brevard County (the one with Cape Canaveeal/NASA Space Program i) and HALFWAY TO COCOA, it now is a an unrecognizable sprawling metropolis without end.
It was a thrill to see the large crowd at the stadium where his helicopter landed and where he spoke, wonderfully cheering and supportive, as are ALL those who see him in person...and his genuine connection with each one.
If you watch it later on C-span, do look for afterward when he was working the crowd, and Laura did also.
She went along the metal fence line, talking with persons and signing things, and then did something special -- the ones who set up the appearance wore distinctive t-shirts, orange, with EVENT VOLUNTEER on the back, and she stopped in front of a group of teenege volunteers and signed the back of their shirts!
It was a lovely spontaneous thank you for the younger generation, and I'm sure scored many points ---
Watching it made me so proud of the life I have had, and values instilled in me from humble beginnings.
Isn't Our America wonderful/?!!
**LadyX cheers from the old hometown field:
"GO, George, GO!!"
