Very interesting, but totally missing the main point. George Bush has run an organized, focussed campaign that connects time and again, and exudes integrity.

The dims have no possibility of exuding integrity while endlessly playing the race card, the victim card, and spewing sleaze.

I think you are right.

When Kerry is defeated and Hillary (I don't afraid to call voldemort by his/her name!) is running for 2008, only then, when (and IF, no easy task to defeat her) she is defeated as well, the era might be closed and rethinking will begin. Until then, no recovery for Democrats.

Despite their obvious cruelty, hypocrisy, venality, and arrogance, the Democrats are giving the President a run for his money.

We've got big problems if our goal is to return this country to it conservative origins.

Good analysis, straight from the heart of a life-long Democrat who yearns to have his old Party back!

There's a lot of reasoned analysis in there, but one point is missing that I think should be included.

Kerry is wrong for America on substantive issues, and 52% of the population has figured that out. No amount of tooling your campaign can fix that. Sacrifice all the geese you want, it won't change.

Shalom.

I agree. My son-in-law is from Charlotte and neither he or his family talk with that obnoxious drawl. I am from Texas and so southern drawls normally don't bother me, but I would rather listen to Kerry than to the sily pony.

I believe their numbers are decreasing ... precisely because their constiuencies are increasing. Huh? What I mean is, they are losing Blacks, union members and women. So to make it sound like they are increasing, the news media is always emphasizing their sub groups, like homosexuals, Hispanics, Jews, femi-nazis, Asians, disabled and so on. Guess what? There is overlap in these groups.

This election will go to Bush. Kerry is not selling himself to his base, he is losing Blacks. Bush is gaining them plus Catholics and Jews. I predict 300 to 325 EV victory.

A friend remarked to me that he normally loves to listen to Carolina accents, but that Edwards has nearly cured him of that taste.

LOL! DOn't know who Edwards was talking to a couple weeks ago, but he was reffering to Bush in the WHite House and kept saying it was "A-may-us" .

I thought he was talking about the bibical Emmaus (sp?) (as in Walk to Emmaus) and wondered if he knew that that bibical referance made Bush sound good - then I realized he was saying "A MESS"!

Talk about someone who does not know how to talk! Between him and tah-ray-za, we'll have the "Tower of Babble" in the WH if sKerry gets in!

Unfortunately for the Democrats they chose to act like children and put up an embarrassment as a candidate, and the party furthered their embarrassment by picking a VP candidate who doesn't even have 1 term in office, won't win re election in his own state and frankly isn't fit to mop the floors of the Senate, let alone be in it.

This is just a newspaper column; the Democrats haven't lost yet.

Still, I agree that the Dems could be in a better position, now, if they let sane people run the party.

"Mimicking Marie Antoinette, Ms. Heinz Kerry advises the hurricane refugees to go naked, asks who cares about Arizona, tosses out conspiracy theories about wars for oil and October surprises, and assures us that she counsels her husband on "everything" well outside women's issues — precisely what most of us suspected and thus feared."

PING

"So despite her elegance..."

He's kidding, right? Elegance? Theresa? If I saw her on the street I'd mistake her for a bag lady.

VDH seems to be ignorant of the fact that the post-debate quickie polls were spammed heavily by the 'rats.

There was a TV interview with Teresa when she was in Arizona in September. The interviewer said, after Teresa pointed to some glowing Zogby polls, "You're still down in Arizona."

Teresa's brilliant reply: "Who cares? One state is not a whole state."

I think she meant to say, "One state is not the whole country", but it wouldn't have helped much.

The absolute best and most articulate article summing up this whole campaign.

I only pray he is right about the election's outcome. Somehow the minions of lawyers waiting to put in the fix for Kerry make me queezy that the scenario given might be that of Christmas Future.

I thought John Kerry clearly won the first debate, lost the second, and did worse in the third. Most Americans, however, apparently disagreed, since many polls showed that respondents thought Kerry won all three.

Ok fine Kerry won all 3...whatever. I'll give him the debates and I'll take the one that counts Nov.2 2004

Keep your eye on the prize!

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?

You do know that Oct. is national sarcastic awareness month.
