I hope they run it in heavy rotation in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan and-- to really scare them-- Oregon and Wisconsin.

It also attempts to undermine Kerry's credibility by portraying him as someone who shouldn't be trusted with keeping the country safe. WHAT credibility???
To: SmithL
Outstanding. I hope it is as effective as its description.

we should have a pool on exactly what time the first dem denouncement of this ad takes place.

Bottom line.....it wouldn't be a suggestion...if sinister kerry made it into the white house...we would all be vulnerable. And he would bow are sovereignty as a nation to the UN........NO Thanx......

This must be the ad Rich Lowry was referring to over at NRO...very "Bear"-like from the 80's.

IMHO the terrorists are not wolves...they are mad, rabid dogs that need to be put down, killed.
Kerry wants us to believe that he can reason with and be more sensitive to the rabid animals. Ask any Marine who was on Tarawa Island or Iwo Jima or Okinawa or any number of other similar places how you reason with such mad animals.

Sounds almost like the excellent "There is a Bear in the Woods" ad that Reagan ran before he was first elected.
I remember it sent a chill up my spine when I was a kid.
To: Rokke
yep - I figured that after I posted based on the excerpt - that there would already be one weenie quoted in the story.
To: SmithL
Halfway down this Associated Press piece they start vigorously rebutting the ad. Hope they do that with Kerry campaign ads, too! (but not holding my breath).
To: flashbunny
The Dems are so clueless they don't realize people "get it" when they object to something. That something, obviously, is effective. How they reportedly have half the country in the Kerry-Edwards "thrall" is completely beyond me.

Nice! I like the imagery very much, and I also remember seeing the Reagan bear commercial.
Just reading the excerpt tells me I don't want to click on the rest of the article - a "suggestion"? Puh-leeze!

I really don't think half the country is. My wife, who is as apolitical as they come, routinely mocks kerry.
I think a lot of the polling going on is designed to make news rather than report it. Or to gin up the numbers to make the planned vote fraud more believable.
