The movie reviewer should watch the news more often. "Other images, including that of a woman in a burka being executed, remain similarly unidentified." If she didn't realize that was a Taliban execution, she just hasn't been paying attention.

No kick from "sham pain", eh? Mere folderol "doesn't thrill you at all"? Moore will not be happy with your attitude...

Less savvy propagandists than Mr. Moore, the "Celsius 41.11" filmmakers apply their thesis with a trowel. I bet Manohla Dargis applies his or her makeup with a trowel!

Sorry to hear you are ill.
Me, headed for Sunny Mexico for a few days of badly needed R & R. Out the door in 1/2 hour.
Watch my threads for me until I get back, OK? Check in on the UT if you get a chance and make sure the gang is behaving.

A didactic screed that has all the verve of a PowerPoint presentation and all the subtlety of a Homeland Security red alert, "Celsius 41.11" is finally interesting only because it represents another unconvincing effort on the part of conservatives to mount a viable critique of Mr. Moore. It also suggests that the right's gifts for spinning ideology into compelling narrative, so evident during the Reagan administration, have gone missing. There's the money quote. :-)
NY TIMES ".. compelling narrative .."
