OH YEAH?? But Sinclair can't run Stolen Honor on a PRIVATELY owned TV station?
This is DISGUSTING.
We want Stolen Honor on Public TV too!!!
If this airs, FarenHYPE 9/11 should show afterwards to debunk this horrible film. I will gladly loan my DVD copy to whoever wants to air it.
There was a public access in Pa. that ran Stolen Honor on 2 separate days and he is being bombarded by hate mail and threats now.
Broadcast/distribution rights to F-9/11 are not Moore's to give. He has no say in the matter. Where and how the film is shown is up to the exclusive distributor, Lionsgate Productions. Lionsgate has not authorized the Az airing (in fact, knowing Democrats, I doubt they've even been consulted), nor are they likely to.
Did Sinclair back down on showing Stolen Honor? My local paper said it would be broadcast at 9 PM tonite in my area, but the Sinclair station had regular programming.
WWWWHHHHAAAATTTT!!!!! The demoncRATS support airing of ads by 527 moveon.org but pubblies can't support airing of ads by 527 swifties. sKerry supporter Mickey Mouse Moore gets his anti-Bush film aired but Sinclair can't get their anti-sKerry film aired. What's wrong with this pic? I'm PO'ed really bad.
"It would not be unheard of for Moore to sacrifice profits in the name of politics and give away the rights to the film, which has made more than $216 million worldwide since it was released in June. Last week he offered to allow the conservative Sinclair Broadcasting Group to air the film for free as a counterbalance to "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," a film that attacks Kerry's anti-Vietnam War activities. Sinclair scrapped plans to broadcast the entire film on Tuesday after it was confronted by rising political and financial pressures. Instead, it will run a news program incorporating parts of the film on 40 of its 62 stations, including those in the key battleground states of Florida and Ohio. The company does not operate stations in Arizona.
Gee, whatever happened to "fair and balanced"?
Again Demoncrats have a double standard.
"Moore had hoped to air "Fahrenheit 9/11" on the In Demand pay-per-view service owned by Time Warner, Comcast and Cox Communications. But the company recently canceled the planned Nov. 1 broadcast, citing "legitimate business and legal concerns." Comcast and Cox are the main cable providers for the Tucson area."
So why is Sinclair cowering to LIBERALS?
Why should we pay for this trash?

Here's Kathleen Dunbar's email address (the coucil woman who is expressing outrage over this)
ward3@tucsonaz.gov
Maybe it will help to write to her...that we support equal time for Stolen Honor!! Just a thought..
Just received an email from the reporter of this story..her is her reply:
" I'm not sure if anyone pays too much attention to the "equal time" rule any more. But as you will read in tomorrow's Star, "Stolen Honor" and another film critical of Michael Moore called "FarenHype 9/11" will indeed be shown on our local public access station. So if the "equal time" rule were still in effect, I guess the score would be Republicans 2, Democrats 1."
