Not personally. But I have heard from a friend who has a couple of teachers in his family that they despise NCLB. The real reason is the NEA wants to control everything. The NEA does not want its job performance to be held accountable. The results seem to be that NCLB is getting results.
I do not believe that its appropriate for the NEA to use the classroom and parent meetings to make political statements about standards with which that they are required by law to comply. If they can't do the job, they should get out of the way.
