It is kinda funny though. Pres Dan Quayle is just a scary thought, almost as scary as the thought of Pres Kerry.
Qyuale was not slick in front of the camera, but a highly intelligent conservative man of great character who would have made a very good President.
Don't kid yourself about Dan Quayle. Had anything happened to GHWB between '88 and '92, Quayle would have risen to the occasion and very likely would have surprised the entire Nation. Quayle in some ways has been maligned ALMOST as badly as GWB is today. The fact is, Quayle was no lightweight when he was selected by GHWB to be his running mate, and even a casual review of his Senate record will attest to that. But the leftist chowderheads of the lamestream media saw an opportunity to paint Quayle as an idiot, they seized on that 'potato' spelling incident as if it were the Holy Grail, and turned Quayle's name into a punchline, and they laughed themselves silly about it.
The truth is, Dan Quayle is one smart SOB, he was (and is) right on the issues of the day, he continues to be a strong conservative voice, and it is damn time that he received the respect he deserves.
