While there is much to be pleased about on a national level, I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be a Republican in California! I have volunteered to assist President Bush in the final 72 hours (making phone calls to battleground states) but California is simply a waste of time.
We need to clean house in the California Republican party. The thought of Boxer for another 6 years is pathetic, yet we don't mount any serious challenge. How many more election cycles do we go through like this? Sheessshh.... bummer.
AMEN!
We'll get rid of Boxer when she's forced out by old age or dies. The state GOP is just so pathetic as to be maddening. Jones was a sure loser. We might've had a chance with that "moderate" Latino woman who had been Treasury Secretary under Bush. Not perfect, sure, but it would've been a huge gain over Boxer's record.
I think the problem in California is gerrymandering and it's unlikely anyone will be able to unseat that Box. McClintock should be running for that or higher national office. He's as honest as the day is long (truly unlike most politicians) and one more example of someone who's word you can take to the bank, i.e., says what he means and means what he says. Everyone should go to www.tommcclintock.com and familiarize yourselves with him. He's the best!!! If you like what you see, we've got a jump on 2008.
