Not likely....he's just about stuck at $200 million next year in payroll, he's in major luxury tax bracket and with baseball's socialistic policies, he has to revenue share.

He wants:

Beltran, Richie Sexton, Mike Lowell, Carl Pavano and Brad Radke. Signing even 3 of these guys means another $30-35 million and at some point, the dam breaks. Plus, signing free agents means you lose your first round draft picks which that farm system cannot afford to lose.

They won in the 90's with home grown talent. The free agents have helped but not won them a championship. Now they are stuck with Brown (trade), Giambi, Musina, Sheffield, A-Rod and Jeter contracts. Still good players but untradeable.

What's not likely? That the Yanks are done?! LOL

It was a mix of home grown talent and stars. The success of the Yanks has spread throughout baseball. All the successful teams have tried to copy the Yankees for years. Some have done it right. Some haven't. But the fact remains. The Yanks management, front office and scouting operations, are the best in MLBB. This year on the field, the Yanks were stopped by a better team. Boston won fair and square. Congrats to the Red Sox.

But the Yanks aren't stuck with anyone. A healthy Giambi will be back in the lineup next year and there are no plans to trade any of the big name stars at this point. Although, if Kevin Brown doesn't stay healthy, he could be gone. The starting pitching wasn't up to championship standards this year. That will change next year.

Frankly, I think you hate the Yanks and thats too bad.
