This dispells the myth that the country is evenly divided.

just wondered because "Nickilodian" poll actually went for Kerry, but "Weekly Reader" has much longer History..like back when schools taught Math, Reading and Writing.

Channel One News' OneVote 2004 ;;;

I am assuming by the "OneVote" that means there was only ONE vote

I heard CNN repeatedly bring up the Nickleodeon poll yesterday in which Kerry won. I wonder if they will even mention this poll in which Bush winds and which, by all accounts, was done in a more scientific way and is therefore much more representitive of reality in my opinion.

Just checked and I don't think its the same one. The Scholastic one has done 40 presidents and just got 2 wrong.

"Channel One News is broadcast via satellite to nearly 12,000 secondary schools across the country; it is the highest-rated teen television program in United States."

How bout that? This vote really could portend something significant.

W loses with the Nick crowd to kerry but wins the teen vote. Great news. The little kids, God Bless them do not have to pay taxes on their lemondade stands. Yet! The teens, who do have summer jobs, realize how high their taxes are. Bet 4 years ago, these same teens did give the nod to Gore. It gives me great hope that the little ones from the Nick crowd will follow suit.

Lets hope we keep them in our world as they get older.

I can honestly say that none of my kids will watch the current crop of evening Nick shows.

My kid was over at the University last night and was asked to take a poll/questionaire by some speech students.

Who are you voting for and why? (he's 17, but that's not the point): "George Bush. He has a clear plan, he does what he says, I agree with his handling of the Iraq war and he is a leader"

Stunned silence from the group taking the poll.

I believe the "Weekly Reader" results come out on Monday.

The Nickelodeon poll was an on line poll, just like the "WHO WON THE DEBATE" polls all the cable news stations had on their websites.
There was noway of knowing if kids were voting or the DUmmy crowd who got wind of the poll and went to the website and voted.
After all, most of them probably watch Nickelodeon night and day.

I think those teenagers could tell that sKerry is too phony. Now he's "duck hunting" over there in Ohio. What a joke. I dont know what were his strategists thinking about that they came up with this stupid act. All Kerry does is acting. And it's firing back on him.
Good for the teenagers who chose to keep the president in the White House.

Good...lets hope Bush defeats kerry in the actual election with the same margin.
