Roger Staubach is one of my all-time personal heroes. He is the reason I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan even though I've never been to Dallas, and the closest I ever came to Texas was to drive through the panhandle on my way from New York to Los Angeles years ago.

You should visit.

G-d blessed Texas with His own hand.

Shalom.

"Roger Staubach is one of my all-time personal heroes"

Amen to that. I know stastically there are better - but few better men have ever played the game. I wasn't even a football fan when we moved to TX from NY in 1977 - but my dad took my brother and I to Texas Stadium to see a game and I fell in love - with the sport and with Staubach. Almost 30 years later (gosh that's scary!) I still love the Cowboys because of Roger the Dodger. :)

I would include Coach Landry as an all-time personal hero along with Roger Staubach.

That's all I've ever seen of Texas, too, but I must say I was impressed anyway! Even my teenaged daughters remarked about it, saying it was one of the prettiest states we traveled through on our "road trip" to the Midwest a few years back.
