Election offices don't have to send new ballots abroad
Now, as to the content:
Philadelphia lawyer Mark Aronchick, a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration, called the number "a theoretically tiny universe of people."
So much for "count every vote" (as if I ever believed that crock).
To all concerned, Senator Santorum was on WPHT1210 last night discussing this very issue. Gov. Rendell had no problem extending the deadline during the Democratic primary in April, but now seems to think that extending the dealine for late absentee ballots would be "unfair". It seems that Mr Aronchick is more than just "a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration." He is in fact a lawyer who until two weeks ago worked for the Kerry campaign. Gov. Rendell has also decided to place Mr. Aronchick in charge of a group of "observers" to be sent (without authority of the Pennsylvania" to all county polling places to oversee the vote counting, presumably to make sure that they get counted "right"!
Aronchick is a Former Kerry Adviser who just resigned from the campaign a couple weeks ago
