If the Sox winning the World Series *somehow* garnered support for John Kerry SUCH THAT he subsequently won the election, would you still want the Sox to win? What will happen is: The Red Sox curse will be transferred to the presidency. No Democrat will win the presidency for the next 84 years.
I am not a baseball fan at all. I think the fate of the country is more important than ANY sports team.

I am not a baseball fan at all. I think the fate of the country is more important than ANY sports team. I suppose that's true. But this is still a seminal event. GO RED SOX!!!
