we all know too that kerry is not a real fan. just playing it up for the common folk.

Given that a lot of real creeps are huge sports fans, how do you know he's not a fan? Fidel Castro is a well known fan of baseball.

A large group of my friends watched the game together tonight. We were all rooting for the Sox except for our one friend, a diehard, New York born Yankee fan.

We always tease him and he teases back. Even he said the Sox did well and there's still next year. He was very gracious. I watched game 7 of the D-backs-Yankees WS with him 3 years ago. Very cool that Curt Schilling ( my beloved ex-D-back) was there for both wins against the Yankees.

We asked him if he could root for the Sox in the WS, he thought about it a second and said, "No, I just can't!". :)

We were talking about Byung-Hyun Kim tonight (our memories from the Yankees-D-backs Series in '01). I didn't realize he went to the Red Sox. The D-backs got rid of almost EVERYBODY and I couldn't keep track of who went where.

A friend tonight said BK went to the minors... true?

LOL..I know a Yankee fan that would say the same thing...Except it would be a cold day in Hell before he complimented the Sox!!!!!!

Drudge had the Red Sox win series with 2 outs left. Thought that was funny.

Drudge was slow. The game was over after Damon's slammer.

I've never once rooted for the Yankees. I try to convey the depth of the rivalry by saying I was glad they lost to the D'Backs in 2001 even though it was right after 9/11.

This Yankee fan will be rooting for the Sox in the series.

I will take back what I said before the game: 'Yankee fans have no class'.

At least one of them does!!

"What will happen is: The Red Sox curse will be transferred to the presidency. No Democrat will win the presidency for the next 84 years."

I think I like this outcome best! :-)

I knew I wasn't the only one. I could hear a collective groan across all of Red Sox Nation... Then I thought, if they lose it, it won't be safe for Francona to come back to Boston. It would have been 10X worse for him than it was for Grady...

its the fact that skerry is a fan.

No he's not. He is a limelight grabber, he could not name three Bosox players from '67 if the election depended on it.

Any Sox fan his age could do that in a heartbeat.
