County Press ^
Posted on 10/20/2004 6:51:33 PM PDT by Tribune7
John Kerry and wife Teresa had a combined income of $6.8 million last year and paid $725,000 in taxes giving them a tax rate of 12.8 percent. Is this fair?
Yes -- Special, important people should pay a special low rate.
No -- That's disgraceful. The average American pays a 20 percent tax rate.

I love the way they've phrased the questions! Can anyone really have said 'yes' the way they've done it?

The wording of the question is totally biased. Now the RATS can see what we have had to deal with forever as far as biased poll language.

The wording of the question is totally biased. But but but objectivity doesn't matter. Didn't you hear Peter Jennings?

The very rich buy state and municipal bonds that finance important infrastructure projects such as schools, water and sewers.
For that risk they earn a modest tax free return.
We want more rich people in this country to invest more of their money..
Someday I hope to be able to invest a portion of my savings in tax free bonds too.
To: rjmeagle
Hell, it's highway robbery!!! Actually, it is. Any tax over 10 percent is too high. But these "rich don't enough" phonies better not have a tax rate lower than mine.
