Kerry: Flu Shot for Clinton OK, But Not Cheney
NewsMax.com ^ | 10/20/04 | Carl Limbacher

John Kerry's presidential campaign is complaining that Vice President Dick Cheney, a heart patient, received a flu shot this week, even though health officials have urged that only those most vulnerable receive the vaccine.

But apparently team Kerry didn't notice on Monday when Hillary Clinton announced that her heart patient hubby Bill also received a flu shot, during an address about the vaccine shortage at a New York City health center. "Once again, the Bush administration proves that it is the 'do as we say, not as we do' White House," the Kerry campaign said in a statement issued late Wednesday, according to Agence France Press.

Cheney - a pacemaker-wearing cardiac patient who has had four heart attacks - would fit into the government's definition of those most vulnerable to a looming influenza epidemic, noted AFP.

So would recent quadruple bypass recipient ex-President Clinton.

Surely the Kerry campaign will be issuing a statement any minute now condemning the Clintons for "doing as we say, not as we do."

This sounds like a lame attempt to set a trap to me. We respond by mentioning Cheney's heart condition, they pounce by saying he's unfit to serve.

They're trying to get some media emphasis on VP Cheney's heart condition in the waning days of the campaign.

Did you know Cheney's daughter was a lesbian?

The Dem's are reaching for anything and everything that the MSM can feed to the teeming masses. Hell they even got my college educated daughter and son-in-law to believe they will get $5,000 for their new children. I'm shocked and awed I tell ya.

I don't know who is calling the shots inside the Kerry campaign, but whoever it is, they are either complete morons or they want to sink John Kerry. The Mary Cheney remark, the Laura Bush remark, the Dick Cheney flu shot remark, etc. are just lies, stupid, foolish and will hurt the Kerry campaign big time. Whoever is doing it, please keep it up!!!

I'm tellin' ya, "THE PLAN" is for Kerry to LOSE so that Hillary can run in 2008. The only one who thinks Kerry can win is Kerry. His wife is undermining him. And here he is, undermining himself. Wonder who put him up to making the statement? The woman he ignored and failed to tell the world on public television in the third debate that he loved??????????

Kerry is toast. He's toasting himself. Teresa is toasting him and it isn't 'light orange' either.

Bet she divorces him within 12 months of his loss to Bush in November.

arguing over which specific individuals should receive a damn flu shot?

There's Mensa, you've heard of that. And there's Densa which you may not have heard of but can construe its meaning. Densans fight useless issues all the time. Think there's no coincidence that Densan and Democrat begin with 'D'?

I just peered into the DU domain where they are really panicked over the new polls and Teresa's comment today. I think some of them are sensing the political danger caused by the Kerry campaign goofs. They're having a sustained argument about whether Teresa should keep her mouth shut.

What fricken epidemic? Hadn't heard that on the news yet. This happens every year. People get flu shots but the flu going around is not the one the shot is for. Can Kamp Kerrie fix that? He is evil, childish and pathetic. Then there is Lurch's wife.

Cheney is a senior, has a history of heart problems, is in the at-risk group. Case closed.

It definitely is childish. This may or may not have come directly from Kerry, the news articles I have read always say "the Kerry campaign", but I believe it's another attempt to put something into voters' minds, especially voters whose elerly mom and dad or a sick relative hasn't been able to get the vaccine. You know, like how come the VP can get a flu shot, and grandpa with a quadruple bypass and emphysema has to wait until January?

Yes, there is someone who wants Kerry to appear like a bigger fool than he is. I think it's Teresa Heinz because she truly still loves her dead Republican husband, and realizes Kerry married her for her money only. As a prospective First Lady she's doing her very best to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Has grandpa called his doctor and asked about the shot? My hospital had an open flu clinic yesterday. It was restricted to elderly, ill, kids and Pregnant moms, but still it's one of many hospitals in Boston.
