However, just once, I would like to read a column by a Canadian that said "We need to get up off our A$$es in Canada and sacrifice whatever it takes to win the War on Terror. Then we need to remain standing and reestablish ourselves as a country that matters in the world."
Praise for the U.S. being a responsible world power is nice, but we didn't just become a world power, it took years of work, sweat, tears, money and lives to achieve what we have.
I personally want to look north (and south) and see countries who are standing tall, sacrificing their own materials and human lives, as they work with us to protect Freedom and Democracy.
Spending time admiring our grit and determination, while postulating some sort of "there can only be one world superpower" argument that justifies the "let America do it, it's their responsibility as the only superpower" position just isn't taking enough responsibility.

There are a great number of canadian conservatives who just get on with their lives. Politics here is a trivial pursuit (a game developed in Ontario).
