Former POWs Blame Kerry for Captivity

PHILADELPHIA -- Former U.S. prisoners of war who blamed their years of captivity in Vietnam on activists such as John Kerry are the only voices in a documentary that Sinclair Broadcasting has decided not to air in its entirety.

Kerry, the Democratic presidential nominee, was a decorated Navy lieutenant who returned from Southeast Asia disillusioned. He organized anti-war protests in Washington and testified against the conflict before the Senate.

The 42-minute film, titled, "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," is a one-sided view of Kerry's anti-war activities. It consists mostly of interviews with U.S. prisoners of war who survived imprisonment and torture in Hanoi, and emerged enraged at Kerry and others for suggesting they had suffered for an unjust cause.

What do those ex-pows know about anything. Kerry is a hero, he exposed their evil deeds.

Caustic sarcasm..

Everyone of these news media make it sound like Kerry was the only one who was decorated.

JFC! I'm reading this 600 word apologia thinking its an editorial and then I see its an AP post? WTF? Every sentence is dripping with partisanship. So the documentary its one-sided? Unlike F/911 which was so balanced and thorough. Tell the POWs who had Kerry's testimony shoved in thier faces by their captives that it didn't matter. What an A**h***!

this is the part that ticks me off:

Dr. Ernest Bolt, a history professor at the University of Richmond, said it was unlikely that Kerry's testimony directly affected how long the POWs were held, or how long the war lasted. He said Kerry's importance in the anti-war movement has been exaggerated since he began running for president.

Re#3 How true. I loathe the presstitutes in their bias. Traitors to the Fourth Estate and this country, IMHO. I guess the next step is for Ted Koppel to go to Vietnam and get some VC to say that these POWs were not tortured or held longer because of Kerry and his crew...

John Kerry was "disillusioned" before the war.
He was raised to be so.

If Kerry didn't testify before congress the POWs wouldn't of been in captivity?

...get some VC to say that these POWs were not tortured ...

They probably won't have to go that far, sadly they'll find an ExPOW here who will say it (maybe McCain).

Obviously, the professor has not read the book written by the VC commander who said the very opposite.

"The 42-minute film, titled, "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," is a one-sided view of Kerry's anti-war activities."

I don't think there IS "another side", unless you consider the VietCong side legitimate.

And there is NO ambiguity about Kerry's antiwar protests and testimony, it's all on tape.
