Not even prison takes the Martha out of Martha, and I gotta admire that a bit. (Especially since I've started cooking for myself).
(My apologies to admin moderator; I was relying on the software to confirm that I needed to excerpt).
Figured you guys could use a laugh!
D
I saw a headline with the words "Martha," "prison," and "whips" and got the creeping heebie-jeebies.
Martha living it up at Camp Cupcake!
Ok. Am I the only one thinking she needs some meds? ;-D
I just knew this sort of stuff was gonna happen. Martha in the Pen would be about the only reality TV show I would watch. I can't wait to read about her decorating tips for jail cells...
Letterman gonna have a ball with that news....
Nothing wrong with turning lemons into lemonade. :)
"I saw a headline with the words "Martha," "prison," and "whips" and got the creeping heebie-jeebies."
LOL! Sort of brings up the image of a cheesy "Caged Women" sexploitation film poster, eh?
That's a good one. She needs to spend more time reflecting.
And im not kidding, they really do call this place in the federal system 'Camp Cupcake'.. Oy vey!
Great Mark Steyn piece! I think he makes some good points, and I think Martha and her brand will survive. I know she contributes to the Democrat Party (what celebrity doesn't?), but at least she remembered that politics was not her primary game, unlike many other celebrities. And to my knowledge, she never made any statements on the things other celebrities believe themselves expert in, such as national defense and geopolitics.
Can you imagine being in prison with Martha Stewart for what? Eight months? Is that how long? I would view it as a kind of internship and learn all I could from her! I mean, can you imagine how much you could learn just watching her?
I love Martha Stewart. I don't care what anyone says. I would love to be able to do all the things she knows how to do.
Personally I like Martha and don't really understand all the demagoguery towards her.
I heard that Martha has already been punished for not adequately " Spreading Them " during her first day strip search. Warden sent her to the kitchen and told her to make 800 spam with mayo on white bread sandwiches. Now that's cruel.
I almost have to agree with you. The woman may be a total witch but she has an ability many of us wish we could have.
I know I'm going out on a limb here but if her time in prison helps make one inmate think of doing something differently when they get out, her time may have been worth it.
You can actually eat crab apples? All we ever used them for were for neighborhood brawls.
Yeah , stealing, lying, perjuring, looking down your nose at subordinates, expecting to be treated better than everybody else. Yeah she's a good example.
Mark Steyn is brilliant, easily one of the best columnists in the world.
Somebody is lying. The National Enquirer said she was being brutally beaten by guards and inmates.
:)
