Don't get me started. I've been sitting here watching Tony LaRussa go through his annual post-season choke with the Cardinals.

How about, how long has it been since the Giants went to the Series? "Curse of Candlestick," as my buddy likes to say. The most unsung curse in baseball.

1986 and 1918 respectively!

Boston lost the WS in 1986 and won it in 1918. The last time for each.

Go Yankees! How many people expect if the Red Sox win that Kerry will use their come-back as an example for his potential comeback (The Sox being from Massachusetts)?
To: demlosers
All is set, you can feel the impending doom, SOX tonight take it all.

How many people expect if the Red Sox win that Kerry will use their come-back as an example for his potential comeback (The Sox being from Massachusetts)? And then the Astros from Texas, beat the Red Sox from Massachusetts.

I think their last win in the World Series was 1918.
Several of their loses in the World Series have been to the Cardinals.....
Go Cardinals....

If you want Kerry to lose you should be rooting for the Sox. Why? Kerry said given a choice between the White House and the Sox winning the World Series, he'd chose the White House. So, assuming they are mutually exclusive, root for the Sox to win it all!

1986 versus the NY Mets. How could anyone forget Bill Buckner staring forlorn as a dribbling grounder, off of Mookie Wilson's bat, went through the first baseman's legs.

Yes. One can lose tonight and the other can lose to either St. Louis or Houston.
