Am I correct in thinking that newly registered voters have to bring in ID to the polls in Ohio?

Good question. According to this Ohio Election Law - Voting Procedures in reference to the HAVA provisional voting procedures, the newly registered voters don't need to show an ID. They just need to be able to remember the last 4 digits of their SSN and it can somehow be verified.

The provisional ballot rules are an open invitation to fraud for any of the registrations that made it past the Board of Elections checking. I have volunteered to be a poll watcher on election day. I will do everything I can to challenge any voter that refuses to show an ID. Every fraudulent vote cast disenfranchises a legal voter. If the voter is not a legal voter they cannot be disenfranchised.
