TERESA: TEACHING ISN'T A 'REAL JOB' [10/20 12:19 PM]
From USA Today interview with Teresa Heinz Kerry:
Q: You'd be different from Laura Bush? A: Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good. But I don't know that she's ever had a real job I mean, since she's been grown up.
What arrogance. Stunning, unmitigated arrogance!
From the White House:
Inspired by her second grade teacher, she earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Southern Methodist University in 1968. She then taught in public schools in Dallas and Houston. In 1973 she earned a master of library science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and worked as a public school librarian in Austin [until 1977].
Hey, teachers, librarians: Teresa Heinz Kerry says your work isn't a "real job"!
We can't all be ketchup heiresses, you know.
I bet the NEA just LOVED that one!!
Hahahahaaa!!
Teresa Heinz-Kerry and Mother Theresa - polar opposites with the same first name. One devoted to advancing her own wealth through use of her bedroom skills, the other devoted to advancing the cause of humanity, human dignity and the work of God.
Keep Therezzzzzzza talking. The more she talks the more nuts she is.
Any word on how DU is handling this? Or are their collective heads in some dark recess (per usual)?
Do one of you know who are the keepers of the home-schooler and public school ping lists, if so please ping.
This is also a definite MOM type story.
This woman gives moms a bad name.
REDRUM! REDRUM!
Ping!
Thank you my FRiend!!!!!!
This woman is totally off the wall.
2JedisMom has the Homeschool list. I don't know who's got the public school list.
She is insane, indeed!
I've been trying to figure out this woman and this is what I come with: Teresa is a classless, educated,& lucky woman.
Thanks.
I just felt this needed to be seen by both groups because it is a slam at home schoolers and those of us who send our children to public school.
I see Michael J Fox and Mamma T next to each other and I suddenly start hearing that Yello song "Oh Yeah" from "Secret of My Success."
Hoping some of the MSM pick up on this, Maybe Brit Hume??
if kerry wins, she'll be handing out copies of mein kampf.
She may have, indeed, lost some support in the library community. In 2000, the Texas Library Association invited her to address their annual conference in Houston (she didn't show up because bad weather grounded her flight from Austin, so I had to listen to Juan Williams instead). Although the library profession trends liberal-left, Laura Bush enjoys a degree of popularity within it.
Hold the Ketchup please...
Insane, indeed!
Some of her other comments have been bad, but I really think this is by far the worst.
I know my daughter's teachers have real jobs, I'm sure you feel the same about your children's teacher, and I know our friends that home school also have real jobs.
This comment is so insulting to me, not just because she insulted the First Lady, but insulted everyone who wishes a good education for their children.
Just damn!
