If China invaded Taiwan, we couldn't take action against China because China would veto any UN action against them. Therefore, any loss of American lives would be unjustifiable.
If Israel was invaded for the purpose of removing the Jews, we couldn't act to defend Israel because we would be the only nation willing to defend the "occupier/oppressor" against the invaders. Therefore, any loss of American lives would be unjustifiable. The population of Israel would be wiped out or relocated to America
