Under no circumstances would I let the docs use embryonic stem cells on my son. The big thing at the time was gene therapy. I would never promote the death of a baby for maybe or even a cure.

"He left a long phone message for Senator John Kerry lending his support and encouragement."

It's good that Bush supporters did not make a big thing about Kerry's call reference in the second debate.

I prayed nearly every day for Christopher Reeve and his family.

I have nothing against the man nor against his family because of their politics.

I wonder what efforts were influenced either way, on the matter of umbilical stem cell research, and what views about such research, that he or his wife might have had, and she may continue to have.

I had wished, for some time, that "if I had to do it all over again," I would have gone into medical research on the problem; and, I tend to follow what is developing.

In the early 1980's, I was at Wright State Univ. near Wright-Patterson A.F.B. outside of Dayton, OH, when Dr. Petrofsky, Ph.D. was working up the crude details of what later became an exercise machine for paraplegics. His most promising pupil/patient was Nan Davis. She did get up and walk, with the contraption connected to her.

Yet, while I am in favor, for now, of umbilical stem cell research, I wonder about its possibilities.

What will the fans of stem cell research in general, embryonic or umbilical, do, if this should happen:

Suppose that somebody comes up with the cure for death. That's right. An injection of magical elixr derived from stem cell research, if administered within 4 hours, actually will bring a person back to life. Now the patient's brain is gone, but they are alive.

Then, there's the injection that regenerates brain and nerve cells; and with it, the bio-gizmo that feeds back to the brain, your "taped archive" of what you knew.

There you are, aren't you(?).

Now, don't suppose this part: "They" are going to try, if "they" have not already.

If they are intent on embryo clone factories, what will stop them from Frankenstein factories?

Happy Halloween.

Well, in less than two weeks, GWB is going to kick the living sh*t out of Jacques Querri. After that we won't ever have to listen to him again.

That's for sure!

What is it about Dims and Rino's that make my ears hurt, stomach ache, and make me clean my guns? ;)

Don't worry, ABCutie!
I didn't care one whit for him.........

I was surprised to read that Christopher Reeves had a bed sore that became infected and killed him. Good Lord.

"And she would tell the truth?"

Doesn't matter, with her going on the record saying he made the call there is no way to push the idea that Kerry lied about it without looking like a petty jerk.

There are lots of things you can go after Kerry for, just stick with the solid cases and avoid jumping on every little thing you can.

Incredibly exasperating. All Dana's syrupy thought concerning Reeve's support of Kerry who would destroy our country and rely on Paris to tell us what to do. Paris, who has told Kerry and us that they won't sent troops to Iraq even if Kerry wins. Poor Reeve. An idiot to the end.
