For a soldier to hit the field and decide to re do the contract when the stuff hits the fan is not only dishonorable, it is unethical.Not to mention: illegal.

Correct. It was always my understanding that anything in a uniform of the United States was 100% under the purview of the United States taxpayer. What can or should a soldier do or say while in uniform or while in the PAY of the taxpayers of the United States of America. Even here where I work, I cannot breach the conflict of interest rules, unless I want to start looking for another job. Of course this leads us right back to the current question of Kerry's excessively indulged misdeeds after he returned from Vietnam. That man IS a criminal and I don't know how he has stayed out of jail to this point.
