Kristin could have at least brushed her hair for the commercial.
Think there's some psychological explanation for the sloppiness we've seen exhibited by Moore, Garafolo and others? Now this Ms. Bigtime Victim. Maybe it's meant to send a message like: "Look what you've done to me, President Bush, look at me! I'm so depressed I can't even brush my hair!"
I agree... I couldn't figure out what was going on with her horrible, streaky, frizzy hair. I was surprised, because for a lot of people, I think that's what they will remember from the commercial. It was very distracting, startling in fact... for about 2/3 of the piece, I was wondering what the heck was going on with her hair. Was she trying to portray an unglamourous, "I'm a mom not a model" look? If so, she was too successful, as she looked more like some kind of cartoon character... and that idea is insulting to moms who brush their hair. Or was it supposed to look like she was running from Ground Zero on 9/11 and stopped just to film the commercial? I can't believe anyone would let her on camera looking like that. Maybe she was trying to show she's "her own person" and not letting the Kerry campaign put words in her mouth, like the "I voted for Bush" line in the ad. Kind of "I won't let them doll me up for a commercial, I'm going to just be my ungroomed self." If so, what irony: she shows her independence by what is on the outside of her head, rather than the thoughts inside it, which are all liberal spin and Democratic talking points.
