The last time I went to a Pats' game I was bored silly, but I'm a huge Pats fan. You don't realize how much time there is between plays for commercial timeouts. Save the money you would have spent going to the games and buy yourself a plasma TV. You see more of the action that way.

Yes, it is a shame that prices driving some of the fans away from the game. I usually make the sox a few times a year, but I somehow always manage to scam free seats from my company. I probably wouldn't to pay to go...

Thats what I ve been saying, how can the average person go see a major league game, or a Nascar race!!! They have have priced us out!!

Agreed. Live NFL games (Giants for me) are unendurable now, especially in the cold. 70,000 fans, players, coaches all sitting or standing around doing absolutely nothing for vast stretches of time, scratching their asses while shrill, blaring music and commercials over the loudspeakers pound you into submission.

You fantasize about being warm at home on the couch, then you start strategizing an early exit to beat the traffic.

The fun part is the tailgating beforehand -- the actual game part ain't so great.
