Didn't they succeed in kicking Nader off the ballot in PA?

IMO .. it's not just the city they must have concerns over ... it's also the burbs they are worried about

I agree. They have Philly in the bag. They must be worried about Delco and Bucks (IMHO Montgomery Co. is a lost cause -- too many limo Libs).

They kicked him off the ballot, but I believe he's continuing to campaign and I expect he's unhappy with the Dems for knocking him off the PA ballot. It could be one factor they're concerned about.

As to the suburbs, it's hard to say. Our GOP HQ in Blue Bell (Montgomery Cty) seems upbeat, busy, and very positive. I suspect they're seeing good feedback and very motivated volunteer support.

I was at a Cub Scout meeting this evening and listening with one ear to some of the parents. One of the lib moms was saying that she's undecided, but is now looking harder at who Kerry might put in his cabinet. Says she really doesn't like Kennedy and doesn't know who else Kerry might pull in and it's making her re-think the candidates. Hmmmm.
