Moreover, these coordinated attacks have occurred without regard to the facts since they predated the broadcast of our news special."
AND
"We cannot in a free America yield to the misguided attempts by a small but vocal minority to influence behavior and trample on the First Amendment rights of those with whom they might not agree."
These are devastating statements to the Democratic machine. They have been caught using all the vile tactics and then told it was unnecessary. Sinclair has made them look totally vile while taking the high road. Priceless!!!
Something smells here. If Sinclair had never really intended to air "Stolen Honor," why did they send their executives out to defend it, explicitly. No, they're caving.
I think the kerry campaign has damaged itself. Look at the $$$M's in publicity they've generated for the broadcast with their panicked response, like when you turn over a rock and scare a bunch of snakes...only in this case a F$%&in traitor. Plus kerry is too yellow to appear and defend his record. This may work out for the best.

No, what they've done is pure jujitsu.
They've taken the strength of their opponent and used it against him.
They acted as if they were going to air the whole thing, kicked back, and let the Democratic machine perform as expected.
And now that all the Democratic slimeball tactics are ON THE RECORD, they can be used as part of the story to not only slam Kerry, but the Democrats and their fellow travelers as well.
