SAN DIEGO - A Border Patrol agent opened fire on a van on Monday night, triggering a police chase that wound up on the campus of a local high school.
El Cajon police said that Border Patrol agents tried to stop a van in the 900 block of Spinel Avenue, which is near Grossmont High School.
After a confrontation with the occupants, a Border Patrol agent shot into the van, hitting one passenger, according to El Cajon police.
The van's driver allegedly took off, crashing into a building on the Grossmont campus.
A helicoptor from the San Diego sherrif's department and police dogs were then enlisted in the effort to locate the suspects.
All of the suspects were arrested by Border Patrol agents, according to the police, who also said that the suspect who was shot was being treated at a local hospital.
At least no innocent Americans died --- this time.
I'd settle for just dropping them nude onto Tierra Del Fuego, and letting them swim & walk north again.
I MIGHT be kind and drop them WITH a parachute, but attitude would count for a lot in that regard.

And we'll foot the bill. Welcome to Amerika.
Why the hell are we giving charity to these people anyway?
There must be a place for you in Bush s new government. What a fine idea.
The anti-Bush crowd makes a lot of "relative" statements. Like President Bush "isn't doing anything" about illegal immigration.
Or how about President Bush wants to grant "amnesty to all illegals".
And then there is the relative "terrorists are pouring across our borders by the hundreds".
Another good relative statement is that America is being "invaded" by illegals.
A good relative statement that was posted today is " "when someone slits the throat of your wife, daughter, the odds are it will be an ILLEGAL ALIEN."
My favorite relative is"There isn't any difference between Bush and Kerry" on immigration.
These aren't "RELATIVES", they are LIES. They are vicious intentional lies propagated by people who have a single agenda to weaken the support of conservatives for President Bush. They are repeated by people without thinking who believe that it is acceptable to repeat the lies because they heard them from other people in their peer circle. When challengrd they say the lies are "relatives."
If the instigators of these lies were truly interested in solutions to their problems they would discuss the issues in a reasoned rational manner. They would consider the disperate interests and seek politically viable solutions, as President Bush is doing.
Repeated unchallenged often enough these LIES will be believed by some.
Saturday, 16 October 2004. Sierra Vista, Arizona. Three dead aliens, four if you count an unborn baby. Two dead Americans: Jim Lee and Emilia Guthrie; married just six weeks. Twenty-three injured, fifteen critically and medivac'ed to trauma centers in Tucson and Phoenix. It took eleven helicopters and every ambulance in this corner of the state.
The coyote driver who caused this is now in a hospital in Tucson. As soon as he is sufficiently patched up, we want him transported back to Sierra Vista.
George Caballero, the American attorney held on retainer by the Mexican Conslate is proabaly counting the zeros on his share of the settlement at this very moment.
These people don't want a "conservative" for President. They want a republican.
proabaly=probably
proabaly=probably
Or, can you imagine how many would stay out if we shot them.
Well they're going to get their Republican because Bush will probably win. All I care about is keeping the Congress in GOP hands. A conservative for president will have to wait till 2008.
I was totally surprised clicking onto the thread. Another tragedy with people being killed on the border. I guess there are too many to post. The deaths caused by smuggling have doubled this year.
It's not likely Spinel Avenue is the actual border or that Grossmont High School is situated right on the border --- obviously this illegal criminal came on through the open actual border with no problem until he was pretty far into the country. A million and more Mexicans coming a year could tell you the borders are quite open.
Interesting too --- supposedly there is a terrorist threat on the schools --- and a border crasher can quite easily get near the schools --- just like the other day a truckload of border crashers came right up to the gates of a military base. They need to stop these at the actual border.
With the sharp increases in violent incidents on the border recently, I wouldn't be surprised if Vicente Fox isn't saying something like "imagine how many would get in if we shot them".
From your keyboard to God's ears. But a Conservative won't stand a snowball's chance. Already the names I hear mentioned are either dead from the neck up (Frist) or RINOS. I don't understand how the grassroots Republicans are ultra Conservative, but the powers that be that control the party (and who pick who gets nominated to run) are all Rockefeller Republicans. There's only a hand full of them, and yet they run the show EVERY time!!! If we can ever get rid of the Rockefeller wing of the party, the good guys might finally get into office and make some real changes back toward the Constitution!
