ACTS OF EVIL
I look into the eyes of those who hate….I am not allowed to see
I cry over the senseless death of the innocent…..I am not allowed emotion
I smell the blood of those passed in terror….I am not allowed my senses
I am here among the dead and the dying….I am not allowed to mourn
My tears mix with the blood of my father….I am not allowed his love
I cannot move, for the weight of the dead are upon me….I am not allowed freedom
I feel my body leaving the destruction of this life behind…..I am not allowed hope
I want to be free of this senseless hate….I am not allowed to love
I scream for my own salvation….I am not allowed to speak
I wait for the darkness to comfort me….I am not allowed to hope
I wait for the peace of death….I AM allowed to die
how can I view this?
