CHICAGO -- Authorities have temporarily removed the principal of a Chicago elementary school from his post after finding a large number of allegedly unregistered firearms at his South Side home.
Police say 50-year-old John Lewis was charged with 61 counts of possessing unregistered firearms after the guns were found at his home during a weekend raid.
Police said Lewis had a valid firearm owner's identification card -- but for only one of the guns.
Lewis was the principal of Libby Elementary School on 53rd Street.
Did he refuse to take a bribe?
Only handguns are banned in Chicago; non-evil looking long guns ARE legal if one has a State FOID card and if one has registered said non-evil looking long gun with the City. This double registration requirement applies to law abiding citizens only.
Put a big X on the following states if you want to legally own a gun:
California, New Jersey, New York, Massachussets, Illinois or Maryland.
If it really comes down to it, are you going to give up your .22 and your pistol? I should hope not. I think everyone know that if they come for guns in this country, they are going to get bullets first.
Yeah, but did he 'have a razor in his shoe'?
You certainly are a sneaky little bastard i always knew there was something i liked about you ;-)
