Ya, it is. And in all honesty, I protested against the war, But then Enlisted.

Maybe had the politicos left it to the Military, we'd had won long before I was of age.

The war ended after I got back over and that was that. What I learned was, If your going to fight a WAR, then fight it, no holds barred. Some thing sKerry doesn't understand.

I lived throught the VietNam era too. I was at first for it as stopping communism seemed like a good thing, then against as happened to many.

Stopping international communism in 1965 was a good idea. Of course while they had tried to subvert our institutions, no communists nor communist nation had attacked the US. That meant while noble stopping communism in Southeast Asia was not strictly a US problem.

Now in the current situation, the Islamofascist like the militarists of WWII have attacked the US. So I see it as required that the US respond like in WWII not optional as in VietNam.
