Regan was the best president the world has ever seen.
But WTF happened with his kids? Did Nancy drop them?!
Donald Regan was Secretary of the Treasury during Ronald Reagan's first term and Chief of Staff during most of the second term.
Are you confusing Donald Regan with Ronald Reagan?
It's times like these when I appreciate Michael Reagan more and more. Adoption is a wonderful thing.
Reagan was an accomplished president who obviously didn't carve out enough time to raise his kids, and Nancy has never impressed me in any way. Both of them came from troubled homes themselves.
I liked what Joe Scarborough said to Ron after Ron semi-defended Kerry's "lesbian daughter" indiscretion on MSBC following the last debate. Scarborough said something like "What if someone said the president's son was doing drugs and ballet?" Ron was so angry he probably would have given him a limp-wristed slap had Scarborough been on the set.
Short answer, they grew up in California.
From what I've heard she basically neglected them. It was all about Ronnie.
He was a great president -- but his second family didn't turn out so well. The first was fine.
These two are twits in spades!
The only thing I can figure is that Ron Reagan, while Governor of CA. and as a movie star, was always away from home and therefor let Nancy do all the upbringing.(Never liked Nancy. She is too hoity-toity for my taste)
Still, it doesn't explain why the kids didn't at least absorb some of the dad's common sense and conservative ways.
Ron Prescott (not a junior) makes me sick.
As a father myself, and granddad, I suppose the Prez was really embarassed of his kids but, like always, didn't bring the dispute into the public realm.
