Sorry to sound naive, but since sKerry had all of his "medals", wouldn't that automatically ensure an honorable discharge?

According to some, they were "re-issued". They say that the only situation where they would be re-issued would be where they had been taken away previously due to not having an honorable discharge.

I also heard/read several times that someone else gave their medals/ribbons to him and asked him to toss them; so, he didn't use his own, he used someone else's (kinda like he does w $)

Wouldn't they also be "reissued" if he "lost" them throwing them thru the fence at the White House????
