HR 2264: Fiscal 1994 Budget Reconciliation

Vote on the adoption of the conference report [final version] of the bill to increase taxes by $241 billion and decrease spending by $255 billion over 5 years. Its provisions include: a 4.3-cent gas tax; an increase in the corporate tax; a new top income tax rate; Medicare cuts; an increase in the Earned Income Tax Credit; and increased spending on immunizations for children.
(The conference report was adopted 51-50 on 8/6/93). Vice President Gore cast the deciding vote.
