I'm curious as to why you don't just switch? We'd love to have any Pro-Life Pro-Family folks join with us.

I've been a Democrat all my life. Even I remember how the Rs treated ( and some still do treat) people around here and because I'm an old dog, those old memories mean something to me. But my oldest son is the first member of the family on my paternal side to register as a Republican ever. But perhaps more importantly, I still am welcome in the the "smoke filled rooms" here and am listened to, at least at the state level, when I speak out in those rooms about where the party has gone wrong. Sometimes what I say stymies the Left and that's good. I stay because I can still make a difference for my state and i love my state. As an R, in this state, I'd have no influence whatsoever with either party. As it is, I do with both.
