Why not we just do a montage of Kerry's statements and get it over with.
Kerry is Catholic in name only.
If only I had a Cardinal!
Wow, every poster here ought to read this!

Chaput has been one of the stronger ones. I'd trade him for Bp. Skylstad any day.
Dominus Vobiscum!
Right you are! I could call myself an Oldsmobile all day long but, that doesn't make it so!
I think you are too pessimistic about the pro-life forces. There has been a slow steady swing to greater power and influence in elections. I think ultra-sound pictures and earlier and earlier viability made the position that the unborn was not a life less and less tenable. Keep the faith, the truth will win in the end.

"I think you could say that we're at our strongest since Roe v. Wade," she said, reflecting on the movement's growth and influence since the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.
For three decades, anti-abortion groups have been pounding away at legal abortion through legislation, legal challenges, civil disobedience - and some, through intimidation that has included murder, kidnapping and arson.
In the past 15 years, anti-abortion advocates have made substantial inroads. The number of hospitals performing abortions has fallen to 600 in 2000 from 1,000 in 1990, according to a study released this year by a physicians' group and the Washington-based Alan Guttmacher Institute.
Additionally, more and more abortion clinics close annually as - pressured by anti-abortion activists - they find operating just too difficult. Meanwhile, many states have enacted legislation that restricts women's ability to get an abortion.
"I would agree that although we still have the fundamental protection by Roe, access for women has been continually eroded over the last 10 years," said Lois Backus, executive director of Medical Students for Choice, an organization of 7,000 medical students and residents on 105 campuses in the United States and Canada.
Actually, Cardinal George of Chicago has recently made one of statements by bishops.
He is on http://www.priestsforlife.org/elections/bishops.htm
The web page of Cardinal George's statement is:

In case you did not notice, Bishop Burke became Archbishop Burke after his denying Pro-Abortion Politicans communion and that ruckus.
I have a standing invitation to his consistory (spelling) by a cousin of his -- Archbishop Chaput. Just have to save for the trip to Rome. But Chaput is still a youngster -- about 56 or 57.
But I managed to make the 2nd Thanksgiving Mass of Cardinal Francis Xavier Nguyen van Thuan in the Vatican. (I was the only one at that event that was not Vietnamese).
It is a shame Cardinal van Thuan is not with us any longer, but I have heard that Pope John II himself will write a prayer for his Canonization process.
Oh what graces and blessings you have known.
Pentacostal faiths follw the Bible on abortion and homosexual stuff. I can't comprehend how my friend who professes to be a born again Spirit filled tongue talking Christian can support canidates who are everything the Lord GOD forbids.
Needless to say, I lost it and I let her have it. I asked her how she could support his position on abortion. I asked her how she could in all good consciencevote for a man who votes to continue gouging the skull of an almost full-term child and suck their brains out. Especially a man who says that he believes that life begins at conception. I think that is more sinful than others who support abortion but who honestly don't believe that it's anything but a fertilized egg.
She escaped before having to answer me but I asked her foster daughter how she could support such a man for president, (she's a little slow but she's 20 yrs old) and she just looked at me and said I don't want to vote for him anymore and I said you don't have to.
I mean this really causes scandal for me because I start getting judgemental and a little radical. These people always bring up the death penalty and the war and children dying in the war. Well, guess what? Children were dying under Sadaam, regularly and no-one but terrorists deliberately kills the children. And Sadaam and the terrorists will kill us if they can unless we do something about it. Clinton ignored them to our peril. Abortion is pre-meditated murder. It isn't accidental it is planned, it is a deliberate act of murder against a child.
Thanks for your response. I better understand now. You are where you know you can do the most good and that IS what matters.
Keep fighting the Good fight.
