Let's hope he keeps this up in the speeches from here on out. Those Cubans also need to be reminded that Kerry doesn't and never thought communism was a threat and now attempts election year pandering. He does it on everything. Lynne had it right in calling him out on his bringing her daughter into it-like he attempts to use Reagan-he is not a good man.

Here is my e-mail to Andrew Sullivan the other day when he was blasting away at the Prez and dusting off his kneepads for Kerry:

Andrew,
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has called you on this, but your loathing of the President is transparent. You being a military hawk, it is astonishing that you have nonetheless twisted all logic into pretzels in order to justify voting for Senator Kerry in this time of war. John Kerry is just as liberal as Ted Kennedy, period. His voting record over 20 years proves it. His loathing for, and fighting against all things Reagan throughout the 1980s cannot be obscured by his feigned admiration for him since his death. His recent statements deploring the communists and claiming to be a "cold warrior" do not square with his pro North Vietnamese, pro Daniel Ortega, pro Cuba and Anti Duarte stances over the last 30 years. His recent claims that George HW Bush assembled a "real coalition" (in contrast to GWB) cannot be reconciled with his 1991 Senate floor statement that GHWB lacked "a true United Nations collective security effort" and that he "rushed to war" (sound familiar?). John Kerry has been on the wrong side of national security matters his entire adult life. Do you honestly believe he is now a hawk? Can you name one proposal or statement of his during the 1990s that showed toughness against the terrorists? The 1980s? Do you really believe that fawning over Gerhard Schroeder or Chirac will improve Iraq one iota? How about his fear of the US developing a nuclear bunker busting bomb and thinking we need to get rid of our nuclear weapons to set an example to North Korea and Iran? What f***ing naiveté!!!!

Kerry's dismissal of the efforts of our current allies is particularly appalling. Apparently, Mr. Kerry said recently that the Iraqi army is so bad that "even the Italians could kick their ass" (that's making a nice splash in Italy). His and Joe Lockhart's treatment of Prime Minister Alawi showed the poorest judgment imaginable, giving aid and comfort to the terrorists and insurgents. Think of the advisers Kerry would use: Lotsa Clinton re-treads that did very, very poorly the 1st time around.

So Andrew, continue to delude yourself that Kerry would be Bush's equal in the national security front. Continue with delusions that Kerry has a fiscally responsible record in the Senate (and no, opposing the "colossal waste" known as SDI doesn't count). Delude yourself that Bush is a homophobe. Delude yourself that Kerry's good debating skills translate into having a spine. Delude yourself that if Kerry were president these last 4 years, that Afghanistan would have held elections last week. Delude yourself that a Kerry victory would not crush the morale of our troops. And lastly, you can continue with the delusion that the terrorists won't be doing backflips of joy if Bush is defeated.
