Schumer's a hump in so many many ways, but the guy's a solid citizen when it comes to the War on Terror.

Agreed. A whole lot of New York Dems and RINOS get it in a way that none of their colleagues do, because they've seen the smoke rising from Ground Zero. Schumer has surprised me, I didn't think he had it in him.

Schumer remembers standing at that pile of rubble, he remembers the stench of burning bodies, he KNOWS what terrorism means. A lot of New Yorkers have forgotten, Schumer has not.

On a side note, I think that we should all give Howard MIlls a round of applause for agreeing to take on Schumer.

Mills knew it was a suicide mission and he took one for the team.

I, for one, think that's highly cool.

Schumer is only solid about terrorism because his constituents took the biggest hit on 9/11.

I never thought I'd stand up for Schumer, but...There are a bunch of New York/New Jersey Dems and RINOs who have really gotten religion about national security in a big way since 9/11, and there are plenty of New York/New Jersey Dems who continue to demand American weakness. Schumer is probably telling the tuth here, because he not only has no reason to lie (he is up 40% in some pols) but because he acts like a person who still catches a whiff of that Ground Zero smell now and then...
