I sure as heck can take away from LSU last year! That is the whole point. We were left wondering, of the two teams, who really was better -- LSU or USC. Since they weren't able to play each other last year, it is fair game to look at how they are both performing this year. And the Tigers appear to be paper ones. As for "changing the rules", you would have a valid point if the BCS had always been the way the championiship were determined. But the BCS, itself, was a change of the rules and many people in the sports industry object to the BCS from the beginning. Last year's controversy just validated their objections. Again, I'd love to see the Trojans get a chance to play for the BCS championship this year, but I'm still bit crazy about the system.
