The early blacklists were by the communists. In NYC in the early days of radio programming, 'actors' were blacklisted unless they were communists. Same in Hollywood BEFORE the congressional investigations and the good work by a few good anti-communists.

Actually, I believe the liberals when they say there's no blacklist.

That's because there are only 3 or 4 conservatives in Hollywood, and everyone knows who they are. Therefore no need for a list exists. You only need lists when the numbers are fairly large, forcing you to create a list in order to keep track of them all.

Like many Pubbies today, Ron Silver is no conservative. He's still very anti-gun, pro-fag marriage, etc., from what I've heard in interviews. Just because he supports Bush doesn't mean he's a conservative. But your insinuation was correct...there is a blacklist against the handful of conservatives in Hollyweird.
