A couple of weeks ago I unleased John Kerry's Bad Rap on FR and do to overwealming hits, I had to move it to a new server due to it crushing my server space on sbcglobal. (thank you one and all!)
The Kerry Rap in all honesty was a secondary project. I always wanted to do a serious flashmovie on President Bush with Johnny Cash singing "When The Man Comes Around" (your spared my singing voice)
I collected literally hundreds of photos published in the "Day in the Life of President Bush Thread". (Special thanks to freepers GretchenM, MJY1288, rintense, TruthNtegrity, ohioWfan who found them and keeps the threads updated! Your finds were and are incredible, and all credit I give to you!)
I finally figured it out how to arrange it and after editing Johnny's song down a bit, and playing hookie from work, its done. Not JibJab quality, but hey, I ain't that good in Flash neither!
Its a slideshow comprised of all the Best 'W' photos I could find on FR.
So here is it's debut! http://pages.sbcglobal.net/bommer/When_The_Man_Comes_Around.html Be forwarded that its 5 megs so your download on a dial up will be awhile. DSL & Cable, about a minute or so streaming. If you want the exe, it was cleared of any viruses on 3 different scan programs, so perfectly safe! Just right click and save. http://pages.sbcglobal.net/bommer/When_The_Man_Comes_Around.exe
Anyone out there willing to post this on their server space to eleviate the congestion I'm about to get whacked with, send me your email and I'll send you the .swf, html and .exe files for you to post.
Hope you enjoy it!
I'm in tears Bommer, Thanks
Two thumbs up and sent around the world.
You have done a very good job of capturing the words of Johnny Cash and Matching them with our time and our leaders. Thank you.
I recognized the Bible verses as referring to Jesus. But I thought I'd cut slack as well.
Well unless yall can find me a cut of "When the Bush Comes Around", I can only work with what I got! Right now, Bush is "The Man!"
Maybe someone could educate me, but I do believe that Johnny Cash would be filing a lawsuit to stop using his music for W's benefit if he were alive today. I thought that he was pretty far left in his politics.
We're being nitpicky. But I did send your link to a bunch of folks already.

.....So it might be tempting to tag Johnny Cash as a left-winger. In addition to his solidarity with the down-and-out, there's his friendship and artistic collaboration with Bob Dylan, as well as his anti-censorship views. And then there's the fact that he spent his childhood in Dyess, a cooperative colony for Depression-era farmers that was sponsored by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration; there, he says, he "grew up under socialism." But as Tom Dearmore put it in a 1969 article for The New York Times Magazine, Cash "does not adhere to any politics." Nor does he claim to do so. Over the decades, he's expressed a personal fondness for Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Al Gore; yet he also liked Richard Nixon (pre-Watergate), Gerald Ford, and George H.W. Bush. That's quite an ecumenical group.
LOL, ditto to that.
You had me crying. This is the best. Never doubt your abilities.
Wow! Thank you kindly for the compliment!
Choice of images and coordination with the song (a great song) were perfect.
wow. awesome. I actually got a little choked up.
It helps this is one of my favorite Cash songs.
