The liberal elites and their children have no real attachment to America. The schoolbooks they iompose are aimed at unermining America.
I had a similar experience in 1994 at a private school in NYC. AP US History on the day after that election day was a memorable experience. The teacher went into a monologue on the need for the privileged to do a better job of leading the American people in the correct (ie left) direction.
We had many of the same textbooks. I'm fairly certain that almost all students in America use one of 3 liberal textbooks in history classes.

I believe (in fact I hope) that the Publik Skool System, from grade school through college, will become an obsolete dinosaur as online education, private schools, and home schooling become more available.
