Gov. Jeb Bush said Sunday he will not run for president in 2008 and defended his brother from critics who say the president refuses to acknowledge his mistakes.

The governor also denied a report that he knew of problems with a list of felons to be purged from the state's voter rolls months before it was discarded.

"I'm not going to run for president in 2008. That's not my interest," Bush told ABC's "This Week." "I'm going to finish my term."

Bush said he was not going to think about his next move until after completing his second term in 2006. In an Associated Press survey in August, more than a third of the state's Republican delegates said they favored Bush as the party's presidential candidate in 2008.

Guiliani is pro-abortion and anti-family. I don't know if he would make it out of the primaries.

Well now that depends on if he trounces HRH Hillary!ous, in '06.

Remember, the issues may be Security, not Social in 08.

Owens. I prefer Owens to Guiliani or McCain.

I Personally don't see anyone strong enough to run this country right now. The RNC is pushing Bill Frist to run in 2008 and I REFUSE to vote for him. The Repubs are going to need someone very strong in 2008 to beat Hillary or any Dem who is going to run. If they can come up with a strong leader then I will vote for that leader. I am hoping someone pops up by then. For now the only strong person I see is Guiliani!

Iowa would vote hands down for Guiliani! He was in Iowa recently and they absolutely adored him and they did a poll and most Iowans said they want him to run. As far as the other states you mentioned - I have no idea!

--- I like Jeb, but I don't think he's Presidential material. Besides, I'd rather have Tancredo in 2008.---

a lot of people in the party considered jeb a stronger candidate than W before 2000.

---He's a good guy, but a third Bush would be too much of a dynasty.---

why is a "dynasty" necessarily a bad thing?

Re-read my post - Allen is not my choice, just my prediction. I do believe his voting record in the Senate has been pro-life - if that is incorrect, can you link me to a pro-abort vote? I'd be very interested in seeing that, thanks.
