I think the Army is downplaying it so as not to give ammunition to the people who set it up,

I saw a press conference this morning with the CO of this logistics group (not military here, so forgive me if I use poor terminology). He said that they would stand down the transportation unit until their concerns could be evaluated, and the in the mean time other investigations would continue to see if there were violations of the UCMJ.

Interestingly, the soldiers in question were returned to duty during the investigation. While they will not be driving, the will be training, doing maintenance, etc. I thought this an odd approach, but it would be consistent with your hypothesis.

Quartermaster reservists...looks like the got what they wanted...and so did Bennie but hopefully it will unravel.
