That's weird. Service and supply units don't have helicopters. They only have trucks to haul fuel, supplies, tools, etc.

And they are not organized in platoons. They're organized in sections. And they don't always have weapons, because in some scenarios, they're safer without weapons (might end up "shooting their guns or something"--little vulgar combat soldier humor there about something no soldier wants to happen). ...almost no training in fire-and-maneuver for many non-combat troops, as their MOSs (specialties) are quite civilian-like. And they're surrounded with security provided by combat soldiers.
