Keyes is OK, if you forget about the deranged whack-job getting about 25% of the vote and embarrassing the Republican party part.
Awwww...cut her some slack...she was one h*ll of an Ambassador!
;-)
Well, this ought to turn around the election!!! I predict with this endorsement Keyes only loses by 40 points tops! Now if he could only get the endorsement of Pat Buchanan and Bob Novak he could reach within 35 points.
This transcript highlights the egregious media bias that is going on in this race better than anything I've seen.
If you didn't see it, or haven't read this amazing trascript, you almost wouldn't believe it.
Are you comparing Ambassador Kirkpatrick to Pat Buchanan and Bob Novak?
Unreal.
A question for you:
Have you watched or listened to last Tuesday's debate?
If so, what is your honest opinion of the content of Dr. Keyes' and Barack Obama's statements vis a vis this nation's foreign policy?
If not, you are doing nothing but trolling.
Is Jeane Kirkpatrick even sure where exactly Illinois is?
You just proved you didn't read the transcript. Why am I not surprised?
Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick: Well, I would just say thank you, Alan. I'm obviously pleased to be here, I wouldn't be here if I hadn't wanted to come. I have a very high regard for Alan Keyes. And as someone with more than a casual interest in Illinois, I have been pleased by the fact that he is running for the Senate from the state of Illinois. You may not even know it, but I've lived in Illinois a good many years, I went through junior high and high school in Illinois. I should have worn today my Lincoln Laureate medal which I have been awarded for my Illinois connections.
But for Keye's views on Black reparations, I would approve of his platform.
Once-Ler has never offered much to any discussion in his tenure on FR.
Although I agree with the good Doctor on 99%+ of his political agenda, I also don't agree on that one issue.
But the great thing is, when you really dig deeply into the historical context of why he thinks that, even if you disagree, he has made you think and taught you alot you didn't know beforehand.
I'm compairing the effects of their endorments.
Have you watched or listened to last Tuesday's debate?
No I didn't watch the debate. I met and got Keyes and Bob Dornan's autograph when they spoke in 1995 at the WI Rep convention. At the time I thought he was great but I have since grown older and wiser and I now see Keyes as a danger to democracy. Keyes talks about the Constitution as if the people of the United States don't exist. My opinion has been strengthened over the years by what I saw of Keyes's snoozefest on MSNBC and what I read in his opinion pieces. Obama is a liberal 'rat so I know his opinion is far from mine. I wouldn't be suprised if Keyes and Obama agree on many points of foriegn policy
It doesn't matter what Keyes says because he will never be in a position of power to do anything about it. His audience is a small fraction of the Republican party and his national media and Illinios 'rat supporters who are very happy to see him on the ticket.
I am embarassed he calls himself a Republican.
Speaking just for me, I have alreadythought through the issues, but I agree that most people have not and need some deeper mental stimuli to rack the brain in order to challenge/confirm convictions.
You are, without a doubt, the dumbest poster on FR. Jimrob should ban you just on the grounds of the mind numbing effects of your posts on intellegent readers.
I have a long history of posts. Mosts of them are long and detailed because I only post when I have something to say on a subject. My posts are available to anyone with the brainpower to click my name.
Oh, he is.
Since we live in a republic and all...
So, you're admitting you're speaking from ignorance?
Listen to the debate. It's readily available to every person with a computer.
Then you won't have to be surprised by the truth, or make yourself look silly on FR...
